Highlights
will include a stunning line up of some of the freshest anime films including Hotarubi no Mori E (In the Forest of the
Fireflies), Mardock Scramble 1st
and 2nd Compression, Tekken
Blood Vengeance, Votoms – Pailsen Files, Colorful, Five Numbers,
Coicent, Escaflowne, Arrietty and Letter
to Momo; alongside screenings of some old favourites including Daft Punk’s
musical film Interstella 5555; an
Education Day with keynote presentations from Aardman Animations (of Wallace
& Gromit fame) and Glasgow’s own Axis Animation; and a Japanese art
exhibition.
The festival will run from 7-9 October at the GFT, Glasgow and 14-16 October at the Filmhouse, Edinburgh.
