Returning for its second year

Scotland Loves Animation are delighted to announce the return of the hugely successful Scotland Loves Anime Film Festival 2011. In only its second year it boasts an incredible six day programme of anime film screenings, talks and workshops with prominent guests from the anime industry. Read more …

Highlights will include a stunning line up of some of the freshest anime films including Hotarubi no Mori E (In the Forest of the Fireflies), Mardock Scramble 1st and 2nd Compression, Tekken Blood Vengeance, Votoms Pailsen Files, Colorful, Five Numbers, Coicent, Escaflowne, Arrietty and Letter to Momo; alongside screenings of some old favourites including Daft Punk’s musical film Interstella 5555; an Education Day with keynote presentations from Aardman Animations (of Wallace & Gromit fame) and Glasgow’s own Axis Animation; and a Japanese art exhibition.

The festival will run from 7-9 October at the GFT, Glasgow and 14-16 October at the Filmhouse, Edinburgh.
