This new film will explore a fresh picture of the life and work of Joseph Haydn.
Working its way through the life story, chronologically, the film will be resplendent in interviews and live performances. This was the strength of In Search of Mozart and In Search of Beethoven; it will also be the strength of In Search of Haydn - to see leading performers play and then explain just what makes this music so unique, and will include: Gianandrea Noseda, Sir Roger Norrington, Frans Brüggen, Ronald Brautigam, Emanuel Ax, Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques among others.

In its low-key, unpretentious and assuming way, it is very good indeed.
