Gary Tarn’s use of digital video and 16mm film provides sumptuous visual texture, but it’s a retrograde step from Black Sun, his Bafta-nominated debut.

Tarn is persuasive, and you can't help but respond to the boldness, intelligence and creativity of his film-making.
