Antoine is a lawyer living in New York. On his way back to France for the final round of a job interview, Antoine finds himself sitting right next to his ex-girlfriend Julie. With a seven-hour flight ahead of them, they are going to have to speak to each other.
The smoochy soundtrack (Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson etc) and the personable stars help to make it painless Valentine's Day fare even if the central characters are not the most endearing of couples.
A romantic-comedy that isn't funny or romantic.
It’s hardly Working Title-slick, but Sagnier is appealing in her first real romantic role and there’s Gallic charm galore.
You may not take anything more home with you than the skip in your step, but sometimes that’s enough.
Formulaic.
It's all put across with gusto, but also a fair bit of slightly wince-making cliche, stereotyping and broad comedy. Sagnier deserves a classier vehicle than this.
