Sam & Fordy run a credit card fraud scheme, but when they steal from the wrong man, they find themselves threatened by sadistic gangster. They need to raise £5m and pull off a daring diamond heist to clear their debt.
Don’t be conned into seeing it.
It’s nowhere near as subversive, stylish or witty as Guy Ritchie’s debut – hampered by thoroughly unlikeable characters that not even its talented young cast (Ed Speleers, Will Poulter, Alfie Allen) can make you root for.
[The director's] earlier, low-budget Rise of the Footsoldier had a grit and modicum of plausibility that are utterly lacking here.
The whole film feels cheap and nasty and the fact it claims to be based on true events makes the mind boggle.
"Plastic" just about covers it.
The visuals are sub-sub-MTV and the script appears to have been written by Zoo readers. Coming soon to a small screen near you.
