Laura is still waiting for Prince Charming at the age of 24.
So when Sandro appears at a party, exactly like her Prince would in her dreams, she thinks she's found the right one. But then again, when she meets Maxime, Laura starts to wonder if some Princes could be more charming than others?
This tangle of storylines undermines this winningly peppery fairy tale.
There are some nice individual moments here, but they all appear amid a sea of wacky randomness.
Agnès Jaoui – 'the French Woody Allen' – is more sugary and lenient here than in her earlier films.
An amiable if slightly laboured ensemble comedy.
There are some nice performances, but too much time is spent with minor characters and the fairytale allusions are far too literal to be meaningful.
