The critical consensus

Heartfelt but lacking freshness.

**(*)(*)(*)Anna Smith, Empire Online, 30/06/2014

An impressive debut feature from writer-director Lisle Turner that's well acted by its young cast led by Lauren Johns.

***(*)(*)Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian, 03/07/2014

The two misfits eventually find common ground and a friendship gradually blossoms in the warmth of a British Summer. It is as slight and wistful as that although both actors lend the tale conviction.

**(*)(*)(*)Allan Hunter, Daily Express, 0407/2014

Lisle Turner's tale of teenage self-discovery is a pastoral, positive, low-key affair.
