Franck and Simon are both good cops. They work as partners. But their lives take a tailspin when Simon, driving drunk, causes a tragic car wreck. A few years later, out of the police, he is forced to take matters into his own hands when his family is in danger.
The film around them is occasionally let down by moments that ring false — do mobsters automatically start shooting when cops enter nightclubs? — but Cavaye keeps things moving in such a way that it hardly matters.
It’s a tad too birdbrained for a remake, I’d have thought.
Handsome action nonsense.
