Follow-up to the TV trilogy "Heimat", this time for cinemas, set again in the fictional village Schabbach in the Hunsrück region of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Heimat followers will savour a chance to return to the world of Schabbach but others might be less inclined to visit.
Edgar Reitz’s fifth, beautifully monochrome instalment in the supra-epic Heimat series sees the German villagers dreaming of escape to Brazil.
