A group of men are trapped in a small pod on the sea bed, after diving down to fix an oil pipeline and becoming separated from their ship.
In the end there’s just not enough here to make us care about the fate of these four men, and the claustrophobic setting and fairly predictable developments mean that it's not especially cinematic, and could work equally well as a radio or theatre play.
Despite a strong premise and solid acting, this subaquatic disaster drama is too much by-the-numbers.

Director Ron Scalpello is clearly working on a lower budget than he’d probably have liked, but even so, he’s unable to make a virtue of his limitations – the diving bell’s claustrophobic setting never really translates into claustrophobic tension on screen.
