An efficient and no-nonsense depiction of the worst disaster in US oil drilling history, buoyed by excellent performances.
In spite of the death of 11 crew members and the unspeakable environment devastation, the film somehow manages to be upbeat – an achievement, albeit a very perverse one.
The result is entertaining as hell without diminishing the real people involved in the disaster. Brilliant stuff.
