Like Berlusconi himself, Loro is bloated and overstuffed, but Sorrentino’s film is a compelling mixture of the whimsical and the sleazy, the hedonistic and the sad. The Trumpian parallels are also impossible to ignore.
Toni Servillo is compelling as ever, but there’s not enough bite here.
