A porridge of prison movie clichés. A strong cast but nothing we haven't seen before.
It’s no Scum or Shawshank, but on its own modest terms, Ghosted is an engrossing watch that wrings new blood from old clichés.
It's well acted...but is by turns dull adn unpleasant.
The final revelatory twist is just too farfetched to take seriously, and there is an uncomfortable naivety in the film's assumption that violence, when practised by the righteous, can be cathartic or redemptive.
The ending is way too abrupt, bristling with loose ends, which suggests that later scenes were cut or else Viveiros didn't know where to go with it.
Ghosted is just low-rent and comes with a finale so daft, the writer deserves six months in solitary.
Muddled and sentimental, it is an unilluminating experience.
A solid piece, with elements of flair and visceral power, though it would have been better served by maintaining its ambiguity.
