Photo: Leslie Black PhotographyIn an exciting new venture A Play A Pie and A Pint has invited students from Glasgow University, Glasgow Caledonian University and the University of the West of Scotland to submit short 9 minute plays for production at the end of the Autumn Season. These 5 works are the result of that initiative and Oran Mor is delighted to be helping these young playwrights to take their first steps onto the professional stage.
Nine minutes isn’t much time to make an impression. But the five mini-dramas on show here make for an engaging, entertaining mix.
The quality of the writing, editing and acting is truly impressive; and directors David MacLennan and Paddy Cunneen deserve congratulation, along with everyone else involved, for moulding five very different plays into such a shapely hour of theatre, sparkling with energy and potential.
