Snow White--Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock

After the mirror declares Snow White to be the fairest in all the land, Prince Michael requests her hand in marriage. Sent into a jealous rage, the Wicked Queen commissions her henchman (Sir Richard) to take Snow White into the forest and to ensure she never returns. Read more …

Will Sir Richard carry out his dastardly deed? Will the Dame and the Jester uncover the treacherous plot? And what about the seven little people living in a cottage in the Enchanted Forest?

With spectacular sets and costumes, fabulous songs and dances and bags of slapstick fun Snow White is a pantomime not to be missed.

The critical consensus

The slickness of the musical numbers and the grandeur of the set may have the high production values of a national company, but Snow White has the intimacy of a community-focused performance.

Gareth K Vile, The Stage, 03/12/2012

If the show inevitably revolves around Dolan, Glover packs a fine punch, not to mention plenty of puns, into his performance as Dame Bree. But in terms of actual acting chops, you’d have to say Ellie Chidzey gloriously wicked, and seductive, baddie, Queen Evilyn, takes some beating.

Alan Chadwick, STV, 13/12/2012
