There was once a wide, windswept place, near nowhere and close to forgotten, that was filled with all the things that no one wanted…
Events in June: At the end of 2013, we took The Tin Forest story to four post-industrial communities across Glasgow; to schools, community groups, clubs, workplaces and cafes and other places. And that’s when our Tin Forest started to grow. Share their performances in Govan, Springburn, the East End and SouthWest Glasgow.
Events in July: We’ve reinvented the South Rotunda and invited over 200 theatre makers from across Glasgow, across Scotland and across the Commonwealth, to join us for two special weeks.
It’ll be a festival of stories and ideas and cultural exchange; a way to celebrate creativity and a way to celebrate Glasgow, as the city welcomes the world this summer.
You coming?Heart-warming and wonderfully immersive.
The Tin Forest remains a memorable experience, in a remarkable building.
The only complaint one might make, as one climbs the spiral staircase to meet the aerial artists and musicians who close the show in front of a projected image of a bay in St Kilda, is that, at half-an-hour, there isn’t quite enough of this delightful puppet experience.
This gorgeously detailed promenade performance evokes a spooky, lonely world to tell a tale of post-industrial regeneration.
