The critical consensus

An over-the-top live-action cartoon that will do nearly anything to please.

****(*)Michael Cox, Onstage Scotland

The ensemble is splendid.

****(*)Steve Cramer, The List

An absolute delight from start to finish.

Lauren Paxman, The Stage

There's plenty of wit and energy here.

****(*)Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman

The story...is not as rib-tickling this time.

***(*)(*)Ian Shuttleworth, Financial Times

Entertaining and empty...flashes brightly but fades fast.

Mark Fisher, Scotland on Sunday

It's abjectly without point or heart.

**(*)(*)(*)Dominic Cavendish, The Telegraph

This show...is a real hoot.

***(*)(*)Lyn Gardner, The Guardian

In the end, the quite brilliantly clever set..., the riotous pace and the ingenious effects carry them through so that you stop worrying and just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Robert Dawson Scott, STV

Vox Motus consider their show to be “a quest for emotional truths, a sense of wonder and, ultimately, hope”. In truth, it doesn’t have the emotional depth to achieve those objectives. What it is, however, is a beautifully unusual piece of comic theatre.
