Our panto this year is full of fun and laughter with oodles of gags, local references, chart hits, outrageous costumes and lots of singing, dancing and shouting out. Like all good pantos, Cinderella has a happy ending with redemption added for good measure. Along with its easy going inclusion this production has all the ingredients needed for a great time out with family and friends of all ages.
At the very core of this production is a finely written piece and a talented cast of performers who evidently love their craft and the festive joy it brings.
There's no denying the pure spirit of local panto that animates the whole show.
The Brunton’s Cinderella isn’t subtle, but it isn’t supposed to be; this is big, boldly painted theatre for children of all ages; it doesn’t hang about and gets from initial set-up to happy ending with as many laughs, surprises and clap-alongs as possible.
