Transit

After her parents split up, Darya chooses to move to Iran with her mother.  Read more …

She grew up in a war zone: surviving air raids; caring for her mother; and falling in love for the first time. The legacy of war means that as she becomes an adult she is living through trauma.

She meets her father, for the first time in ten years, in the transit lounge of Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. As they reach out to one another, their past choices impact their reconciliation.
