Casablanca has some of the most iconic scenes and best lines ever written, so why not play it again? But this time in a tiny gin joint, with three actors. Morag Fullarton's fast-paced distillation will have you raise a Bogart-style eyebrow, shed a Bergman-like tear and drown out the Nazis with a rousing chorus of the Marseillaise.
Inspired and superbly performed ... deserves to be top of your festival hit list.
Like all the best spoofs, the makers of this one clearly adore the original. After this, you will want to play it again too.
The secret of the show’s success lies in its combination of anarchic stage send-up, and real passion for the essence of one of the great screen love-stories.
'Casablanca' is one of those very rare shows that I have no hesitation in recommending to absolutely everyone and I'm certain it will be a huge hit at the Fringe. I simply can't imagine anyone coming out of this without a huge grin plastered all over their face that will last all day long.
At only one hour, this is a bite-sized look at how wonderful individual theatre shows can be done on a shoestring. Casablanca is now on its way to the Fringe and not to be missed.
The script is tops, but the performances are even better.
