The critical consensus

A valuable debut, shot with a fluent kind of poetry.

****(*)Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian, 13/06/2013

It's a sad, highly schematic movie, with far too much incidental music, and it's often awkward. But Micsha Sadeghi gives a touching performance in a film of some promise.

Philip French, The Observer, 16/06/2013

Alongside the forbidding tower blocks and cramped interiors, Gharavi finds an element of poetry in the wide-open spaces of the North East countryside through which Nasrine passes in her journey of self-discovery.

***(*)(*)Tom Dawson, The List, 25/06/2013

Well-intentioned but dramatically listless.

**(*)(*)(*)Siobhan Synnot, The Scotsman, 11/08/2013
