We all want to believe in life after death and imagine loved ones looking over us, feel their presence in a draft of air, or the faint essence of a familiar smell. It's what we crave, knowing they wait for us. But Jack isn't waiting - they won't leave him alone.
The message, unfortunately, is steer clear.
This sombre drama about a man haunted by apparitions is slow and fragmented, rather than mysterious.
Do we really need a “gritty” British version of The Sixth Sense? No we don't. We really, really don't.
Aside from the dynamic Sheehan, it is a lifeless, uninvolving effort.
A downbeat, rainy, British spin on The Sixth Sense, this has good performances but an uncertain tone.
