Audiences will certainly want to think twice before entering these woods, but mainly because we’ve seen it all before.

A murky and unsatisfying horror movie.

Japan’s Aokigahara forest becomes just a generic creepy wood in this predictable scary movie starring Natalie Dormer.

Dormer is more than capable of carrying the film but The Forest feels like just another attempt to make us jump using rather obvious means.

Natalie Dormer goes in search of her twin in a not-so-scary film inspired by real-life suicides in a Japanese forest.
