As both teen comedy and mid-life crisis comedy it’s terrific. It feels honest and modern in a genre that so very often uses dick jokes and gross-outs to cover old-fashioned morals.
Not in the Bridesmaids league but a very funny female-centric comedy with big laughs and spot-on attitudes.

It’s an entirely daft comedy, but its goofy rollercoaster energy and genial good humour keep it barrelling along, with many a bad-taste fiasco as our middle-aged sex-obstructing adventurers experience quasi-teen nightmares of their own and come to terms with their imminent empty-nest sadness.
There is something very odd and unwholesome about the way the unhappy adults snoop on their kids. They need to get lives of their own.
