Whistler: Working with choreographers from internationally acclaimed StopGap Dance Company, the Indepen-dance professional performance ensemble re-visit popular theatrical movement piece Whistler in this developed version.

Splinter  (just Friday): Combining dancers with physical and learning disabilities and non-disabled dancers StopGap is one of the UK’s leading integrated dance companies. As part of the guest programme they will perform Splinter - a triumphant example of sincere integration between the dancers and between virtuosity and invention, athleticism and honesty, but most importantly dance and theatre.

Leftovers  (just Saturday): Scottish Dance Theatre’ s Dance Agent for Change Caroline Bowditch teams up with Associate Director Fellow Marc Brew for the duet Leftovers. Originally commissioned by DaDa Fest, an international festival which brings together the best of deaf and disability arts, the piece is - an eclectic mix of discarded dances carefully gathered from the studio floor – each one with its own potential.  

Me Libro  (just Saturday): Asi Somos, the dance theatre company of ASSIDO (Association for people with Down Syndrome) present Me Libro (I liberate myself) a choreographic piece by Onil Vizcaino. taken from work Alter Ego which premiered at the Puertas de Castilla in 2006 Me Libro- symbolises the moment the character liberates himself from his past ready to take on a new life.

Karen Anderson Artistic Director of Indepen-dance comments on the weekend programme: I want develop the skills and opportunities of our individual dancers within the performance company exploring the working methods, approaches and practices of other integrated dance and disability companies nationally and internationally. In addition we want to create a work with a high artistic quality that challenges the perception of dance and disability.
