The overall effect is dazzling; and so rich in texture, and in the layers of meaning surrounding this remarkable story, that it demands to be seen not once, but many times.
As a radio play it might work very well, but as a fully staged theatre piece, let alone a music-theatre piece, it doesn't begin to justify itself.
All about engaging the senses...not about making sense.
Superbly acted by Edinburgh-born Worrall, Boyd’s Orlando is a promising production sadly let down by its choice of music.
