Found footage of an expedition into the Congo jungle where a team of explorers stumbles upon a colony of Dinosaurs.
The found-footage hook is starting to feel pretty ancient, and the human drama is patchy at best, but Dinosaur Project is entertainingly silly.
Old hat but fun.
With none of the ludicrous fun of a SyFy Channel movie and not as accomplished as Sky1 Bank Holiday fodder, The Dinosaur Project wouldn’t even cut the mustard on TV, let alone on the big screen.
The effects are realistic but the acting isn’t and the storytelling drags.
The script stinks like dino-poo ("I'm glad we could go on this trip together," says the kid to his dad after several near-death experiences) but for all the silliness you may find yourself entertained.
