Maudlin but moving, Yves Caumon's character study speaks softly but with wisdom. The one-time assistant to Agnes Varda clearly learnt a thing from his former boss.
Caumon allows the film to unspool calmly, gently and unexpectedly hopefully to its conclusion.
Kiberlain lends a mysterious charisma to Anne, haunting her own life, and in a co-starring role the pigeon does creditable work, too.
[A] self-consciously art-house movie.
