Over the course of the imposing running time a degree of repetition creeps in, not least in the first-person voiceovers. Yet the expansive camerawork in, around and through these striking edifices lets us experience them anew.
This meditation on architecture is perhaps not quite a film, but more of a quasi-installation.
As usual with these things, the quality is variable.
A worthwhile examination of the relationship between culture and the buildings in which it’s housed.
