In fact the movie, though saccharine-sweet and over-long (105 minutes) does offer odd moments of useful insight into the 16-year-old boy who is not only the most Googled person on the planet but also has a website called Lesbians who Look Like Justin Bieber entirely dedicated to him.
It neglects to speak to the superstar himself, meaning we’re none the wiser as to what it’s like to be Justin Bieber, whether elated by success or tired and in danger of losing his voice. And it begs a question: has he, like Madonna said of Michael Jackson, missed out on his childhood?
