Ghoulish, largely uninspired Mexican animation that at least improves as it goes along.
For a film about a kid with dual identities, Monster Island really struggles to establish just the one. It’s a film to possibly employ to distract your kids for a few minutes if they’ve already seen absolutely every other option.
This ploddingly mediocre knockoff about a boy with a monstrous genetic secret is visually uninspired and not much to listen to.
Bad animation is only the first thing wrong with this children’s fantasy.
