The result, alas, is to make an unfunny film even unfunnier, not least during a scene featuring silent cameos from all of Miller’s comedy chums.
Not hugely funny.
It’s all epically feeble.
The stench of desperation is all-pervading. It rises off the characters and affects the film at large.
Feels like a huge missed opportunity.
If there's a certain sketchiness to it all, I put it down to Miller experimenting. It's not quite a finished product, but Harris and Clarke are good together.
Huge is a moderate-sized disappointment.
