Daniel Craig makes a decent fist of the narration. But you could also do without its gush about the “incredible journey” all beings on the planet share.
Quite a spectacle, and a nice family outing.
The message: life is beautiful, precious, and precarious is hardly original but worth saying again all the same, especially when the pictures are as breathtaking – and occasionally as heartbreaking – as this.
The film-makers do a fair job of editing it together into a feature-length whole, even if we're never quite sure why they are doing so.
One Life is one film truly deserving that much-abused adjective of unmissable.
A fascinating salute to all creatures great and small.
