Pack your bags in excited anticipation of a guided tour around Scottish work including two Made In Scotland showcase performances, the next instalment of the legendary Culture Ireland Showcase and brand new international partnerships with India (Indian Council for Cultural Relations), Poland (Adam Mickiewicz Institute) and Italy (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Italian Cultural Institute, Edinburgh). There’s even a swift testosterone fuelled visit to Canada.
With three out of the four award-winning Grassmarket studios converted into theatres, DanceBase is bursting at the seams this year, spilling out to an amazing oldtown house across the road for What the Folk!, then down to the Silk Nightclub for Adelaide Fringe award-winning Ponydance’s Anybody Waitin’? Then we are up and away further a field with an outdoor aerial spectacular; Caroline Bowditch’s Leaving Limbo Landing in St Andrew Square Gardens.
So fasten your seat belts, put your emotional baggage in the overhead locker and send a dance postcard to one and all to let them know that you wish they were here this Fringe.
