In Terry Byrne's production, the pace of the dialogue is often a shade sluggish, and it's not clear that McKinlay has much to say about old age and dementia beyond the obvious. But the show features fine performances from Ian Blackmore, Steve Curran and Ann Russell; and it has a memorable conclusion, linking these fading characters to the heavy pulse of human history, at one of its defining moments.
Terry Byrne’s production acquires an ever increasing poignancy about spending time in death’s waiting room brimming with apocalyptic undertones.
