Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother - who's been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a job with one Stanley Stubbers - but to prevent discovery, he must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.

Judging by the laughter it generates this new touring production is already an unstoppable farce of nature.

It’s good to see that a piece of such quality is still packing them in and has lost none of its sparkle.
If the comedy seems a shade more heavy-footed this time round, this remains a superb blend of classic comedy and pure English pant.
There is still more than enough here to attract audiences, but the feeling persists that the production may be nearing its natural end.
It went on to do several national and international tours and now, garlanded with accolades, it’s back. And you have to see it.
One Man Two Guvnors deserves all the praise and laughter it gets, merry, light-hearted and filled with classic English farce.
