Drama in which a teenage boy leads a group of friends and neighbours on a local fishing expedition to locate a giant carp.
If the slim plot relies on a number of predictable tropes, Buckhurst's assured evocation of time and place result in something delightful: a film it seems impossible to not be charmed by.
In short, it all falls just the right side of quirky, even as traumas and trouble threaten to pull apart the tight-knit little community.
