The dancers show off their range in five short pieces which span the spectrum from classical pointe work to contemporary ballet. The programme also showcases the distinct styles of four exciting choreographers, with everything from an emotionally charged piece from Krzysztof Pastor’s dramatic reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet, to an energetic contemporary piece that celebrates pure movement from critically acclaimed dancer/choreographer Paul Liburd.
Having won over audiences in the cities, Scottish Ballet needs to convince the rest of the country. Whether this is the programme to do it is up for question.
