Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace have dazzled television audiences for six series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with their stunning Tango routines. Now they have created their own live show - Midnight Tango – a breathtaking evening bringing all the drama, sensuality and elegance of this most exciting of dance forms to life.
Set in a late night bar in downtown Buenos Aires, and featuring some of the finest Tango dancers in the world, Midnight Tango takes you on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city. As danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion all combine – this is a spectacular and explosive evening not to be missed! Read more …
There’s some nicely-judged comedy, but most of all there’s a fabulous array of solos, duets, ensembles that showcase the variety of tango styles with a passion that goes to the heart of the dance. There are no slouches here – but the remarkable Vincent and Flavia are surely worth your ticket-price alone.
That Vincent and Flavia can share the spotlight to such an extent says as much about their talent and humility as the show does.
Overall, Midnight Tango is a thoroughly enjoyable show, displaying talent and footwork you'd be lucky to find outside of Buenos Aires. I don’t know whether it was the warmer than normal heat of the Glasgow evening in July or the passion from the stage but it certainly managed to heat this audience up.
