The audience participates in the talk, re-enacting historical moments, operating technical equipment, providing ad-hoc translation, creating origami models and ultimately taking part in a magical theatrical act of transubstantiation that remains fresh, live and wildly inventive with each new performance.
The show went down well with the audience, and yet one cannot help think that it still needs a touch more crafting.
Beyond the bonhomie is a serious treatise on identity and self-definition that finds Grierson acting as both himself and others and treading the tightrope between truth and artifice.
