We know that we have a lot of choices to make. We know we have to sit up straight and face the front. We know how the table should be set. We know that we have the right to remain silent, but that anything we do say may harm our defence. We know that we have to succeed.
Fresh from their sell out season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a Herald Angel Award Tramway’s collective of young performance makers present their brand new piece of work. Anoesis is an investigation into the systems that affect us and the ultimate pursuit of happiness from the perspective of young people today.
It lasts only 65 minutes, and its style is familiar. Yet it’s also powerful, theatrical, perfectly-shaped, moving and real, like no other piece of theatre I’ve seen this week.
Junction 25, a brilliantly focused ensemble of forthright individuals, has devised a hard-hitting work that asks the questions we tend to give up on – once we've left school. Hands up who wants to see it again? Me! Me! Me!
