The Silver Darlings, by Neil M Gunn, is an action-packed epic tale of the land and sea – a story of love lost and found again - set in the period following the Highland clearances. Through Peter Arnott’s stylish adaptation, the play tells the story of a community forced from the land to the coast and their struggle to find a new living from the sea along the North coast of Scotland, as seen through the eyes of Catrine from her early life with first love Tormad to her relationships with her new love Roddy and her son Finn.
The performances are universally enjoyable.
