The glittering show takes the audience on a nostalgic journey filled with glamour and pazzaz with 20 award-winning singers and dancers who deliver a breathtaking show.
The production features the most popular songs of the 1920s and 1930s written by three of the greatest composers of all time, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, including: I Got Rhythm, Embraceable You, Anything Goes, Let’s Face the Music and Dance, Top Hat, Dancing in the Dark, Cheek to Cheek, Easter Parade
On the whole, Puttin on the Ritz is a wonderful reminder of times gone by. With a little more attention to detail, it should prove to be a truly glittering show and a fantastic celebration that the era deserves.
There is no question that the raw material is all here, the music of the great American Songbook is amongst the greatest ever written, each of the performers undoubtedly talented, but on the whole Puttin’ on the Ritz is lacking that certain something that makes for a truly great night at the theatre.
