Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox is family fun at its finest. A juicy tale of greed, pride and the power of friendship, this brand new musical adaptation promises a dahlicious theatrical feast with live music and songs and gloriumptious designs. A wondercrump treat for the whole family!
It’s a strong cast all round who provide the audience with a great night out.
It’s an ambitious, energetic and brilliantly shell-suited reimagining of one of the true classics of children’s literature.
It’s a gloriously fun evening, it is lacking some finesse but makes up for it with warmth, talent and zest.
I would recommend it for people who liked the book or the movie.
The children love most of it; and by the end, they’re bouncing happily along with the closing song, while the cast of foxes – plus rabbit, mouse, mole, badger and a few birds – take a well-earned bow.
Musical theatre in its execution but very much Roald Dahl in its feel, this touring adaptation of Fantastic Mr Fox has plenty to please a young audience with added bonuses for grown-ups.
'There's a message to the story about community, togetherness, solidarity and what makes a good leader'--director Maria Aberg on Fantastic Mr Fox.
