Third grader Judy Moody sets out to have the most thrilling summer of her life.
If you’re NOT an eight-year-old girl or under, it really is a bummer.
Bright, noisy and idiotic.
It will pass the time for many kids this half-term, while the grownups zone out.
Ought to go down fine with the 10-year-olds it's aimed at.
The title gives it away: a production-line kids' movie designed with minimum content and maximum shrillness.
To misquote Judy, it’s super-mega totally terrible.
The unusual thing about the movie is that unlike almost any other recent Hollywood picture of its kind, the kids are likable and the adults pleasant and kindly. This makes for a certain lack of dramatic conflict, but then you can't have everything.
