A mother and daughter move to a new town and find themselves living next door to a house where a young girl murdered her parents. When the daughter befriends the surviving son, she learns the story is far from over.
Another haunted house movie. The main selling point is that it stars tween It girl Jennifer Lawrence (Hunger Games) but sadly it still feels like negative equity.
Unfortunately Mark Tonderi never really exploits the tension of any given situation, and in the last 30 minutes we suddenly switch to clichéd slasher territory.
Don't be tempted to put in an offer; this house is built on flimsy foundations.
The predictability kicks in early on and never lets go as Lawrence, Shue and the rest of the cast go through the well-worn phases of a teen chiller.
This hand-me-down horror.
