A live-action version of a manga series in which a former samurai wanders Japan, preaching pacifism by chopping up bad guys. When not fighting assassins, much of this is rather baffling.
How much you enjoy this slick, big-budget, live-action adaptation of the hit Shonen Jump manga will depend heavily on your tolerance for cartoonish J-poppery.
This is a mildly diverting slice of fantasy samurai bollocks.
