When the film reveals all its secrets, the result is a poignant ode to the sanctity of human life, no matter how compromised the gene pool may be.
The performances are excellent. The actors capture the boorishness and animalistic side of their characters, but also their vulnerability in the face of a world that makes such little sense to them.
