CatDog Productions is a newly founded theatre company managed and run by young Glasgow-based actors. Producing engaging theatre and focusing on the lives and relationships of women, CatDog are dedicated to bringing compelling, accessible drama to the public by giving a platform to the breadth of female writing talent that exists within contemporary theatre.
Director: Bill Wright graduated from Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow in 1993, with a Diploma in Dramatic Art. After working as a professional actor for several years, Bill began to teach acting at Coatbridge College, before joining the Centre for Voice in Performance at RSAMD in 2007. Additional training has been with Nadine George and VoiceStudio International, East 15 and British Grotowski Project. Bill performs occasionally as an actor, and regularly with Jericho Hill, the sound of Johnny Cash.
Writer: Shelagh Stephenson was born in Northumberland and read drama at Manchester University. Her first stage play, The Memory Of Water, opened at the Hampstead Theatre in 1996 and transferred to the West End, where it won an Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2000.
It's presented with real skill by Bill Wright's six-strong cast.
The Memory of Water explores the complexities and humour of grief.
