A little bit of UK TV Gold can certainly go a long way, and two hours was about as much as I could handle of the stage adaptation of 1990s weekend television classic, Keeping Up Appearances.
The production is distinctly of its era and should only be treated as such.
If you want to witness the slow death of a certain kind of English theatre, you could do worse than hurry along to this absolute fright of a show.
